April 07
Still waiting! We still covet your prayers for our case to move to completion. We know that we have been kicked out of PGN at least two times since December 06 for paperwork problems. We have no idea why it is taking so long. Adoptions in Guatemala typically take six months to a year. We have now been waiting almost two years since we accepted her referral. We are still hopeful that we will be able to bring her home soon, if God allows it. After PGN, we have to wait for translations, new birth certificate, passport and pink slip (which is the invitation to come to Guatemala to sign the adoption approval paperwork at the U.S. Embassy). Then, we can bring Rosa home! He is faithful and waits on high to show His compassion! "And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance, and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not dissappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:3-5

Hello Carol,
My goodness! I didn't know all of this had been happening. Rosa Grace is beautiful and is truly a blessed child to have both of you as her parents.
I pray that the adoption will become finalized soon and that you will have her in your home.
God Bless all of you,
Patty Yates
